I may have to alter my plans. I lost three of the hares overnight, and one of the foxes labors when she breathes. A house makes a poor infirmary. I’ll need to build dedicated clinics in the northwest quadrant before collecting any more ailing animals. This is problematic, as many will die during construction. I wish I’d prioritized a treatment shelter before rushing to accommodate Jötnar and myself with such lavish buildings. I am ashamed at my lack of foresight in this matter.
Tomorrow, I will go into the Black Forest and track that ox. If he is in good health, he can certainly help clear the northwest quadrant for buildings and help me to pull trees out of the woods. I hope to find him soon.
